What are the ureters?

It is called the ureters. Gray's Anatomy (1918) describes it as a pair of narrow, muscular tubes about 25-30 cm long.

Where it is

  • Descend from the pelvis of each kidney.
  • Run down the back of the abdomen behind the peritoneum.
  • Enter the back of the bladder at an oblique angle.
